  5. Jorge,

It’s been a while since I checked in, and it is good to see that you are doing well. THE CLERMONT LOUNGE!!!! You did a great job describing that experience. It reminds me of my days in Atlanta when we would take our dates to the Clermont for dinner and some dancing. Ask Mel about the Clermont. I actually took her there once. Reading your blog about Georgia is bringing back many memories for me, and I am glad you are getting to experience some of my favorite spots. I grew up on The Varsity, and Anna Ruby Falls is amazing.

Anyways, it is great to read about your journey, and I can not wait to see what you come across next. Stay safe.

    Love ya buddy!

    Matt

  6. Dear Jorge,
I only knew Beth briefly. She was my roommate and classmate when at Train the Trainer in NJ in April 2007. We spoke several times after that, throwing around the idea of visiting each other and perhaps planning a youth program together. I can only remember her deep passion for designing programs that empowered children and families. She would talk about the workshops you and she were about to roll out. She was on fire, so filled with light and love. She even gave me some of those gel packs (it’s time to admit I never tried them!) and she turned me on to the idea that ‘passive income is smart not selfish!’ When I spoke to Troy this past New Year’s and he told me about Beth’s passing, I stopped moving, I couldn’t find my breath, I thought he was lying. I even thought, “Sh*t, I think Beth called me in October or early November and I never called her back because life got ‘too busy'”. I didn’t know what to do with myself, so I asked Troy for your phone number, and I called you, and I think I left a message but I can’t even remember now. Maybe I didn’t leave you my number, and I never called you back. It’s almost like I didn’t want to know what really happened… and to know she was pregnant… oh my God, I think I never gave myself the chance to truly grieve. Here I am, after midnight on a Saturday night in mid July, thinking about Beth and about you, and how precious life is. Thank you Troy for sending me this site and for allowing me to heal by facing what was incomplete for me. Jorge, drive safely and with adventure by your side. I wish you peace and possibility, now and always. You have a friend in Massachusetts. Love, Amy
